ON MAY 1st 2024, the Friends of Crossroads Clubhouse Foundation will proudly announce the rollout of the highly anticipated Clubhouse Innovative Prevention Grant. This grant supports individuals who have a diagnosis of mental illness, who traditionally would not qualify for community mental health services and therefore could not attend theIr local clubhouse. with the proposal of this grant, the current standard is challenged to allowa person without approved insurance or qualifying coverage to openly attend a clubhouse. our goal is to make clubhouses available to any Michigan citizen with mental illness. Clubhouse International standards 1 and 2 clearly indicate that an individual with a mental illness is eligible for membership. it is our mission to see us fall completely in alignment with those two very important standards.
